Kenko is a mobile-first platform that connects physical therapists and patients, with an emphasis on utilizing time between sessions to improve the recovery process through home exercise programs. Along with a fellow intern and design lead, I was tasked to reimagine features and make the entire experience more user friendly.
This project prompted me to consider the design for two distinct personas, comprehending the needs of both patients and physical therapists and exploring how they might interact with each other.
I learned that ambiguity is a part of the discovery process. Continuously moving forward, seeking feedback, and iterating provides clarity.
Each team member contributed unique strengths, ranging from branding to possessing a comprehensive understanding of Figma features. Being surrounded by other designers not only inspired me but ultimately contributed to my personal growth.
At the time of completing the internship, Kenko began to develop the designs for public testing.
Subsequent feedback from physical therapists emphasized the ease of use and the utility of features in the design.
